The Rhône River in Arles

It is possible, and actually a good idea, to arrive one or several days early in Arles, and also to extend your stay in Paris. This page will provide all the options available to that effect, as well as the room options during the tour.

All the rooms offered in my tours have private baths.

In Arles we are staying in a superb hotel very close to the Forum square, which is the epicenter of Arles' life intra muros. I also have reserved a few AirBnBs. René and I will be staying in 2 of them, 2 others are offered to you at the same price of the standard rooms for couples in the tour, the Hotel's Classique rooms.

PETITE CLASSIQUE ROOM:

These rooms are between 16 and 23 sqm, with a walk-in shower and a queen size bed, hair drier, laundry service, bathrobe, pool towels, Iron and Ironing board on request.

These are the default rooms included in the tour for singles.

CLASSIQUE ROOM:

These rooms are between 20 and 25 sqm, with a walk-in shower and a queen size bed, desk, hair drier, laundry service, bathrobe, pool towels, Iron and Ironing board on request.

These rooms are accessible by stairs only, although the hotel staff will be available to help you with hauling your luggage.

These are the default rooms included in the tour for couples.

Tour Upgrade From Petite Classique: $270.

Additional Saturday May 17 Night: $385.

SUPERIEURE ROOM:

These rooms are between 22 and 37 sqm, with a shower or bath, desk, hair drier, laundry service, bathrobe, pool towels, Iron and Ironing board on request.

Beds are 160, 180 or 200cm wide (Queen and King)

If you choose this category, please specify your choice for bed size, shower or bath. While the hotel cannot guarantee availability during your stay in case of contingencies, it will definitely attempt to provide you with your choices.

Three of these rooms are available for a tour upgrade, including Saturday night May 17, from Classique Room, per room, not per person, of: $1,115.

CASTLE HOTEL IN RHÔNE VALLEY

16th Century Castle, now Organic Hotel in the heart of the Rhône Valley

This hotel of high character, nested in a 16th century castle, will be our home in the southern Rhône Valley for the second part of the tour. It is one of the very finest table of the region, with a gastronomic restaurant focused on organic produces that are more often than not produced in the hotel's garden.

The hotel presents an organic way of life, from beddings to cuisine. It has a pool, a magnificent SPA, large gardens, and more important than, all: a pétanque court.

The time at which we are in this hotel is peak season, and I have reserved all the rooms in the original castle, plus one additional room in the newer part to fit all of us.

PRESTIGE / CLASSIQUE ROOMS:

These rooms are between 22 and 25 SM2, beds are 180cm wide or twins on demand, with hair drier, bathrobe, pool towels, Iron and Ironing board on request. They all have a shower, one has also a bathtub.

JUNIOR SUITE:

This is an obviously substantial larger room with southern exposure and view on the interior courtyard. Bed is 200 cm wide or twins on demand, with hair drier, bathrobe, pool towels, Iron and Ironing board on request. Shower.

This room is in the original castle.

SUITE:

This is th most beautiful room of the castle. It is located on the second floor of the original castle, and enjoys a large terrasse overlooking the interior courtyard.

Bed is 200cm wide or twins on demand, with hair drier, bathrobe, pool towels, Iron and Ironing board on request. Shower, and bathtub.

PARIS

In the Heart of Paris

It is possible to extend your stay in Paris beyond the dates of the Tour, see below.

* I can book for you additional nights in the hotel where we stay in Paris, see below for pricing.

* You can choose the option of Room and Meet for Dinner, in which you follow your own desires all day and meet us for dinner, see pricing for each day in Paris Itinerary below.

* You may want to participate in my Paris Itinerary which I guide and is described below.

Please note that this itinerary entails a fair amount of walking. We will take buses, subway or boat depending on where we are going, mostly when people are tired or if we need to speed up of for long distances. Like the first part of the tour, this itinerary may evolve in function of the dynamic of the group, the weather and opportunities. You may at all time uber yourself back to the hotel should you want to.

The prices for the Paris Itinerary are all inclusive (meals, drinks, bus, entrance fees etc).

The Street of our Paris Hotel in Saint Germain des Près

PARIS HOTEL

This Hotel is located rue Jacob, so between the Blvd Saint Germain and the Seine River, a rather central location in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés, close to Le Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, and not far from Notre Dame for instance.

This hotel has around 44 rooms, which is an ideal and not so common size in the ultra center of Paris. I like the middle size as it offers a very good personal care, as well as excellent security, yet I can take 10 rooms and they still have more than 30 left for all the other customers. This hotel is also very well managed and no detail or issue is ignored.

I have developed a very tight connection with the management, which offers me a few perks, and altogether I feel that it would be very challenging to find a better value in Paris very center.

The hotel will provide you with water flat or carbonated produced environmentally. A mini fridge is in every bedroom as well as a hair dryer.

Paris Hotel: Classique Single Room

SINGLE CLASSIQUE ROOM:

Standard courtside rooms with 1 large bed (130 x 190 cm), bathroom with a stand-up shower, toilet, sink and hair dryer.
Size of the room is about 120 sq. feet (11 sq. meters).

These rooms have a floor fan, but no A/C.

These is the room category included in the single accommodation supplement of the tour.

Check with me at booking if you are taking the single accommodation and would like to upgrade to a different room category, so that I may see what is available given the high demand in Paris for our dates.

Paris Hotel: Classique Double Room

CLASSIQUE DOUBLE ROOM:

Pleasant, comfortable and well-appointed, these rooms present a typical Parisian charm, and are suitable for one or two people. Although given their low numbers, they are only available here for couples, unless enough couples upgrade to higher categories.

These rooms have a floor fan, but no A/C.

These is the room category included in tour for double occupancy.

Additional night, including Breakfast and occupancy tax: $312.

Tour upgrade from Single Occupancy if available: $54.

Paris Hotel: Supérieure Room

SUPÉRIEURE ROOM:

Superior rooms, offer a pleasing alternative to the Classic rooms. They are more spacious (about 15m2), have a queen size bed and air conditioning.

Tour upgrade for this type of room, (per room, not per person), Double Occupancy: $186.

Additional night, per room, not per person, in Double Occupancy, including Breakfast and occupancy tax: $405.

Tour upgrade for this type of room, (per room, not per person), Single Occupancy: $226.

DELUXE ROOM:

The Hotel offers its Deluxe rooms, each designed to showcase the rich variety of styles offered by interior design à la française. Thus, each has its own unique décor featuring antique furniture. These are large and beautiful rooms (about 20m2) with a small seating area.

Beds are Queen (street side) or King or twin (courtyard side)

Tour upgrade for this type of room, (per room, not per person), Double Occupancy: $446.

Additional night, per room, not per person, in Double Occupancy, including Breakfast and occupancy tax: $535.

Paris Hotel: Prestige Room

PRESTIGE ROOM:

Prestige rooms that are spacious (from 25 to 30m2) and designed in a more modern style. The district’s finest creatives, including Julie Prisca (furniture), Nobilis (wallpaper) and Manuel Canovas (curtains), helped to make these rooms particularly elegant. The bathrooms, which each have a window overlooking the courtyard, are also large and luxurious. You will particularly appreciate the comfort and convenience of a separate bath and shower arrangement.

Tour upgrade for this type of room, (per room, not per person), Double Occupancy: $676.

PARIS ITINERARY:

Please note that these three days excursions require a lot of walking, probably between 15K and 25K steps each. Of course it is always possible for you to cut the day short and go back to the hotel.
