BEFORE AND AFTER THE TOUR
mediterranee, mediterranean
Grande Bleue véritable
It is possible, and always a good idea, to arrive one or several days early in Nice, as this town is just enchanting, and also to extend your stay in Paris, because once one is in Paris, especially where we stay, it is hard to part with this gorgeous city.

This page will provide all the options available to that effect, as well as the room options during the tour.

All the rooms offered in my tours have private baths. For breakfast please refer to the Meals page.
NICE
Roof Top at our Hotel in Nice
You might want to arrive 1 day or more early in Nice, where time is stopped in an atmosphere reminiscent of the 1930's, the perfect resort town, which is actually a town in its own right, but on the Bay of Angels, one of the most beautiful location on the Mediterranean.

Should you want to do that, please take a look at the room options, which feature a price for additional nights, as well as a price for upgrades.

Our hotel in Nice towers most of the town, and offers a hot tub as well as a pool on the roof top, as well as a SPA, all within a short distance from the beach.

ARLES
Hotel 2 in Arles, in the background, on the Place du Forum, next to the Café Van Gogh.
In Arles we are potentially staying in two beautiful hotels which are part of the same group which was designed to host the guests, VIPs and attendees of the art exhibit at the Fondation Luma. They are both in the pedestrian part of the town, which is Arles very center.

At the moment it is uncertain if Hotel #1 will be available, due to some construction happening across the street, which would make staying at this hotel uncomfortable due to the construction noise during days of the week. It is not known at this point how long the construction will effectively take, so information in regard to this hotel, is provided here with the understanding that this hotel may not be available. For the time being everybody is planned to stay at Hotel #2.

Hotel 1, which is in a quiet part of the historic center, close to the Place de la République where City Hall is on one side, and to the Roman Theater on the other. This hotel has been totally re-designed in a delightful and very colorful style. This is where the rooms included in the tour are.

Hotel 2, is on the Forum square, displays a very classic elegance, and is a mythic location for photographers, as a high number of photography luminaries, as well as toreros, stayed there over the years. This location is in the heart of the active old town, and has a more lively surrounding, including the café, made famous by Van Gogh, which is just to the side of the hotel, on the same square.

Hotel 1, Classique Room
HOTEL 1, CLASSIQUE ROOM:

Hotel 2, Chambre Classique
HOTEL 2, CHAMBRE CLASSIQUE:

These are the rooms included in the tour up to 3 rooms. Beyond this, participants will be in Superior room at upgrade cost.

The classic double bedroom is the very spirit of the Nord-Pinus. Rest your head near one of the house’s historic wrought irons, while keeping your feet cool in a bathroom made of marble and white earthenware. Every piece of furniture exudes character and invites you to travel from Tangier to Vallauris. Equipped with an Italian shower or a tub, the bathroom is designed as a comfortable and bright living space semi-open to the bedroom.
Hotel 2, Chambre Supérieure
HOTEL 2, CHAMBRE SUPÉRIEURE:

Superior room: In its double or single-bed version, the ‘homely’ atmosphere of the room is a blend of thick fabrics, wood and ceramics. The iconic wrought iron headboard tells, just like the collections on the walls, the story of the hotel. Separated by a tinted glass door, the bathroom, with its white tiles and old-fashioned taps, evokes the 1930s – modern comfort in the service of history.

These rooms are available for a tour upgrade, per room, not per person, and for the four nights, of: $205.

Hotel 2, Chambre Deluxe
Hotel 2, Chambre Deluxe
HOTEL 2, CHAMBRE DELUXE:

Deluxe room: combining eras with styles against a background of taupe walls, the décor here tells the story of the hotel. A mix of materials and colours, each room has a personality of its own. The wood, the wrought iron, the furniture and the paintings all call to mind the artistic side of the Nord-Pinus. A quirky space, the bathroom sees big, with its gigantic windows that open onto the roofs of Arles or the Place du Forum, and give this sun-soaked room its unique atmosphere.

Two such rooms are available for a tour upgrade, per room, not per person, and for the four nights, of: $510.

Hotel 2, Suite Junior
HOTEL 2, SUITE JUNIOR:

Junior Suite: from Asian to Provençal landscapes, from photography to ceramics, and tapestry to sisal, these large, sun-soaked rooms are decorated in eclectic style. Large posters on the wall evoke the heyday of the hotel, while photographs tell the tales of toreadors. The atmosphere of the bath comes from a mixture of modern and Art Deco forms revolving around a centerpiece – the tub – or an Italian shower.

These very large rooms, offering exceptional amenities, space and light, are available for a tour upgrade, per room, not per person, and for the four nights, of: $920.
